In September 2009, the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation and the Management Assistance Group issued a report suggesting that small nonprofits consider outsourcing their back office needs as a possible way to reduce costs and gain efficiencies. They define “small” as less than $3 million budget and fewer than 20 staff. In Arkansas, “small” is much smaller than that.
Keeping that in mind, the report still gives valuable insight in how to think about outsourcing, what can make it work and barriers to success.
Attached are downloadable files of the three page summary and the full 48 page report.
